During Melbourne’s rose blooming season, from late October to early December, the gardens truly come alive. The dedicated rose garden named Alister Clark Memorial Rose Garden in St. Kilda Botanic Garden bursts with colour during the spring season, creating a vibrant and romantic setting that feels both timeless and fresh. This is the best time to schedule your session if you're looking to add a natural pop of colour to your photos.


Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a couple here who wanted a session that felt soft, organic, and true to them. We started our shoot in the late afternoon, when the sunlight filtered gently through the trees—creating a warm, golden haze over the garden paths and flower beds. The calm and intimate atmosphere of the gardens made it easy for the couple to relax and just enjoy being in the moment.
